今回は新日本プロレスのトーア・ヘナーレ選手の特集です。
いつもガッツ溢れる試合で会場を沸かせている「マオリの闘将」ヘナーレ。
体格も良くパワーもあり新日本の未来を担う外国人選手として期待されています。
トーア・ヘナーレとは

1992年 8月５日生まれ。26歳。
ニュージーランド・オークランド出身。
身長180cm 体重103kg。
得意技はTOAボトムズ。
プロレスラーを目指してレスリングや総合格闘技を学び、
地元ニュージーランドで2012年にデビュー。
2016年に来日し、新日本プロレスで日本デビューしました。
ヤングライオンの中でも身体が出来ていたため中西学や真壁刀義のパートナーに
抜擢され、ワールドタッグリーグに出場した事もありました。
シリーズによって、出場選手が入れ替わるようになった今の新日本プロレスでも
ヘナーレは、ほとんどのシリーズに出場しています。
大先輩とのシングルマッチを組まれるなど、もっとも飛躍を期待されている選手です。

なんといってもヘナーレのおすすめポイントは、
怖いもの知らずの熱いファイトスタイルです。
最近ではパワーも付いてきて、先輩選手にもパワー負けしなくなってきました。
今年1月のファンタスティカマニアシリーズでは内藤哲也
そして4月のどんたくシリーズでは石井智宏に突っかかりシングルマッチを要求しました。
大先輩だろうがチャンピオンだろうがこの人と戦いたい。と思ったらすぐに噛み付く姿勢は
新日本でもトップクラスだと思います。
このハングリーな姿勢を同団体の〇〇さんや、〇〇さんにも見習って欲しいと思いますね。

ヘナーレに挑発を受けた内藤は、
おれの中では、彼はもうヤングライオンではなく、ほんの一歩抜け出した選手という
イメージなんだよね。頑張るだけで応援されるのはヤングライオンなんだよ。
頑張っているだけじゃ、なにも変わらないよ。プラスアルファがないと。
その上にはいけないんじゃないの？（中略）

とコメント。相変わらずド正論をぶちかましていますね。さすが制御不能のカリスマ。
ヘナーレは、なんとか内藤からピンフォールを奪い、次期シリーズで内藤の持つベルトに
挑戦しようとしたけど、乱入されたタイチに次期挑戦権を奪われてしまい、
残念ながら、内藤とのシングルマッチを実現させる事が出来ませんでした。

しかし石井智宏にターゲットを絞った今年４月、
試合後のTOAボトムスで石井をノックアウト。
これに対し石井が激怒。急遽、石井とのシングルマッチが組まれる事になりました。
まあ結果は予想通り、完膚なきまでに石井にぶっ潰されたヘナーレでしたが、
この試合を観たファンは、
・石井のチョップを受けただけで、ヘナーレの勝利に値する。
・ヘナーレはNEVERのベルトに挑戦する資格がある事をこの試合で証明してみせた。
・ヘナーレが魂を見せてくれた！
と負けたヘナーレを称えたコメントを寄せていました。
負けても負けても立ち上がる姿に知らず知らず応援したくなってしまうのが
ヘナーレの魅力なんだと思います。

なんかヘナーレをディスるような内容になっています。
でも、観た感じ、
石井が頑丈すぎるだけでヘナーレはいつも通り全力ファイトをしています。
むしろ石井を怒らせた事自体が評価できる事だと思います。

今後、ヘナーレがさらに一皮剥けるためには、どうすれば良いんでしょうか？
やっぱりベルトに挑戦する事。
これに尽きると思いませんか？
NEVERだって6人タッグのベルトでもいい、最近はブリティッシュヘビーもあるわけだし、
とにかく何かしらのチャンピオンになるという実績を持つことで、ヘナーレの自信にも
つながるんじゃないかと思います。
また、
違うチームに入るという選択もありかと思います。
多くの人は、ファレやジェイがいるバレットクラブに入るのが良いんじゃないかという
声もありますが、個人的に「鈴木軍」をおすすめしたいです。

鈴木軍にはヘナーレに必要な要素が揃っていると思います。
もちろん、大将の鈴木みのるがそう簡単に入れてくれるとは思えませんが、
